I need some help with a Box Turtle I found. As you can see in the attached images its carapace has some pretty good damage on it, I think some one may have hit it with a lawn mower or line trimmer. The plastron also has some pretty good scrapes on it and it's missing a toe on its back leg, but the carapace looks like it took the brunt of the damage. As far as I can tell there the shell bone hasn't been cracked or pierced and there's no bleeding anywhere on the turtle so I'm guessing it's injuries aren't too recent. I don't know what to do about its shell and any help would be greatly appreciated. As a bit of a side note, what's a reliable way to sex a Box Turtle?

Here's the best pic I could get of her (from what I can tell, it's a her) plastron. Sorry for the flash glare but niether the turtle nor the camera were behaving for the shot. Couldn't get one of her injured foot either but other then a single toe it looks fine. I'll watch her and see if she shows any signs of illness or stress, thanks for your help all.
