i feed my turtles twice a day but they r about five years old so for yours just once. till your res is older and bigger stomach. _________________ Tara Dakota

| ok thanks, how many pellets should i put in, i got it yesterday, go to aquatic turtles message board and reafd my post.... hae been putting n five, and it hasnt been eating, i cut up a small tomato into small peices to see if it was interested, but i havent seen any intrest yet, im goin on vacation tomarrow and i writing a list of what needs to be done, im leaving my 18 year old brother in charge of the turtle, also,, i cant tell if its a girl or boy at this point, at what age will be able to tell? im hoping its a boy so it doesnt get too big... |

well when i got mine we feed them once a day and in about a month we had to move them to a bigger tank and they grew really fast. so feed them about five peices and see how much e will eat. when u feed your res snap the peices of turtle food in half so e can eat it easier. at about age two u can tell. did u know that a turtles head is bigger than the size of its stomach. write back soon! _________________ Tara Dakota

| thank you, i love my new RES, he's so tiny, when he or she get BIG, is it okay if i let it go in my neighbors pond, stil feed it and everything and take care, just a place to stay.... would that be okay????? |

is it fenced in? and does the fence go at least 10inches under the ground?

i doubt your turtle will stay. your turtle problie longs to be free so itll do anything for freedom even if it means leaving a good home. _________________ Tara Dakota
