I read that I can give my RES a bit of cuttle bone from the bird deptartment. I got one, and it's really chalky... Do I break off a bit and see if he'll eat it or lay the whole thing in there? I'm worried that it will cloud up the water.
How often do I give it to him?

just break some off and put it in it may dirty the tank up a bit but itll clear up in a couple min. give it to him about twice a week it realy does'nt mater when u do it wont hert him or anything.
