Hi! I'm new here, and was adopted by a little green turtle almost a month ago (somebody left it on the beach, and a patron brought it to the tower). I'm not sure what kind he/she is since he looks like a slider but doesn't have any colors aside of yellow on his belly. I named it Yoda, lol.
P.S. I'm 100% sure he's not a sea turtle. |

If the baby doesnt have the red ears like a read eared slider... that it is defeintly not that... but its probably a yellow belly slider going by the yellow belly and looking like a slider lol How strange that it was on the beach... concidering they are NOT salt water creatures... LOST turtle. If you are not up for the challence of taking care of it... (can be hard, and VERY expensive) I would definetly suggest putting it back out inthe wild. Take it to a lake or pond or marsh... somewhere that it will be safe. |

Thanks for the replies. I already have bought it a 10 gal. tank with pebbles, and plastic palm trees, and a zoo med 501 filter (for a 30 gal. tank, and pumps 79gph), it seems to enjoy the tank, since I had it in a 2 gal. tank for the first 2 weeks.
Its full of life and has a great personality. I was thinking of getting it a tank mate, until I started reading the forum here.
Thanks again for the advice. |
