um... a few questions... 1. How do you know your turtle has a vit def.? who told you this or what resorces did you use to gather this information. 2. What makes you believe the turtle no long has a RI? and 3. Who in the world told you to use gel caps made for humans on your turtle??? Turtles digestive track, immune systems, bodily functions... pretty much everything is very very different from Humans, and VERY much smaller. A typical dosage of something for humans will very very quickly kill your turtle. There is NO way you need to be feeding your turtle something you would take. There are vit in proper dosages for turtles that you can use but you will kill your turtle if you give it a dosage that is big enough for a human.

hmm.. i have NEVER heard of the gelcap thing... I would be hesitant about it... not knowing what a safe dosage would be... but i have to wonder... if the turtle has a vit dif at all.. sounds like a cold... you can get a powder to put in the water that has calcuim and such in it for colds... and as for the eyes i would look into some eye drops.
