I have a pond behind my classroom. It's part of a natural habitat. We introduced some fish and a turtle to help with the mosquito population. My concern is that the turtle won't be able to climb out because the liner is slippery. There are rocks and plants and so forth, but what if she keeps slipping anyway. The pond was originally designed for dragonflies, so it's 2 feet deep in the center but graduates on the edges. There is a bridge ov er the top and it has a fountain. The pond is about 8 feet long and three feet wide. Any suggestions?

Try a floatin dock of some sort... you can buy floating docks by zoomed that suction to the side of an aquarium... I am thinking that you can suction it to the side of the pond liner as well... it is very important that the turtle can get out of the water and bask so something definetly needs to be done...

make sure tho that if you put any sort of rock structure in there to bask on... is sturdy and will not topple over as the turtle climps up on it.
