hello!
thanks i found this forum.i learned alot from what i read in this forum awhile ago. i'm a new momy to a very cute RES named Greeny. He was given to me by my head nurse. He's 1 and half inches. i dont know actually his age. I fed him with 4 fish pellets 3 times a day.(i'm not so sure if this is correct).i gave him some greens two times a week. He usaully sleeps all night beside me.i put him in a dry box. we sleep together from 11pm until 7 am.because i treat him as my baby. i dont know if this is healthy for him.since he sleeps in a dry area and for along time too. and when i woke up,i put him back to the water again and he stays there for the whole day since i have no time to spend with him in the day. my housemates saw my RES still sleeping sometimes in the day when i to work. is greeny still okey? please help me.
thanks in advance... |

| Whoa whoa whoa whoa... your turtles is an aquatic turtles.. this means they need to be in water. They will get out to bask and dry off... but they must ALWAYS have access to water whenever they need it. Your turtle should NEVER spend all night in a dry box.... getting in and out of water should be their choice as it is in the wild. You really need to put the turtle back in the tank at night!!! |

x2
and the turt is not a puppy or kitty. They are really more of a 'look but don't touch' pet..
If he is as small as you describe, he is a hatchling, probably less than 12 weeks old. _________________ 1.0.0 Trachemys scripta scripta----1.0.1 Chrysemys picta picta
