Mississippi Mud turtles.... Help me please!!

I just got a knew turtle from a pet store, my first time have a turtle. (besides when i was little catching wild ones and letting them go) Anyway, im pretty sure its a mississippi mud turtle, its a girl, before i got her i set up a tank and read up as much as i could about the mississippi mud turtles, i didnt get vaery much infortmation though, i was wondering if any one had one or had any tips they could share, i just want to make sure im taking proper care for her, currently i have her in a 10 gallon tank, half big rocks (flat) half water, im not sure if i am setting it up right, the water is about 1 1/2 inches to 2 1/2 inches deep, oh yeah she wont eat anything i give her, ive tried all the turtle food my local pet store has, fresh fruit and veges, if you can help me out please do!!!! Smile

thank you, i still need more info, is it more of a aquatic turtle or land?

Found in shallow stagnant waters such as swamps, ditches, and bayous. Rooted aquatic vegetation is preferred. Often found on land in moist habitats.

So it is an aquatic, but does not belong in an aquarium like you would keep a Red Eared Slider..

so, how much water should i put in it, i reall don't get how i should set up her tank, me and my dad are going to set out a big but fenced in area outside so she has something to do sometimes, should it be mostly water, mostly land, i'm very confused...... Question Question i want her to be happy though..........
