The weather here is in the 90s in the summer, but gets cold in the winter. It may snow a couple times a year. What is too cold? I would like to leave my turtles outside, but don't want to freeze them.

yes... about 70 is TOO cold for a turtle to survive without hybernating... but turtles in captivity should NOT hybernate... this is harmfull that are not in 100% health will probably die while hybernating. They strongly recomend not allowing pets to do this.
