The bigger one is def a girl. What your discribing is normal. She is being territorial yet doing the typical mating dance. You may have to seperate if the agression gets worse.

Not too much to worry from mating, the boy is a long ways off. They usually are ready to mate around 4-5, from what most websites say.

Be very carefull keeping the two together... if one is a boy and one is a girl the girl will begin to grow much faster than the boy and will probably become aggressive and teratorial towards the male since it will be smaller than she is. And if you don't sepperate them she will more than likely kill him. Also, she will begin to take all of the food so that he wont get any so you will need to start feeding them in sepperate containers. Once they get older and she starts picking on him you will need to get two sepperate set ups... remember the rule of thumb is a gal of water per inch of the turtle. so you are going to need to double that. right now they need to be in atleast 20 gal tank... when they start growing your set up will need to get much much bigger concidering the girl will eventually get to be about 9 in... and the boy about 5.
