Hi everyone,
I live in San Antonio, Tx and my wife found a rather large turtle in the back yard yeaterday. It appears to be a red ear slider, aprox 9 inched in length. Our dogs were going crazy so she brought it in the house and put it in a box. At first it seemed to be scared (naturally) but late last night it started to hiss anytime that you touched it. I know that it is wild, so we are going to release it, I just don't understand how it got into our yard. There is no body of water in the area, so I was thinking of taking it to a local pond where fish and ducks habitat. Is this a good idea? Any comments or suggestions would be extremely helpful, Thanks. |
