| You can load him up on food before you go. Buy some feeder fish so he can munch when he is hungry. |

| I usually buy 15 for each of my turtles... I have one turtle that still has 2 left and it has been about a month. I dont feed them their own food. they eat off of the turtle food. |

| I'd be more than happy to turtle watch for you... but I'm in Indio, which is probably farther than you want to drive for a turtle sitter. But if you do, let me know. |

when i went away, i was wary of just leaving them with guppies, so i got my neighbour (who doesnt have her own turts) to come up every day and feed them. i gave her a tutorial before i left, showing her what to do, how much food, etc. it was nice to know that someone was there for them. she also got the mail and watered the plants, it was a great comfort for both the house and the turts. _________________ I love my turtles! |

thank you so much fishandcandy! That is very sweet ... I'm hoping now that i've increased the tank size, purchase yet another filter that is awesome (fluval 3), and know that she enjoys feeder fish, maybe all will be well ... she has survived dirty tanks in the past prior to this awesome filter so hopefully with the fish and the clean tank, she'll be good. I will have people coming to watch the dog so I can have them put food in as well .. I'm just neurotic. haha However, I will consider indio for a piece of mind... |

I dont know where that is but i would turtle sit for u but im in florida. I rescue turtles and find good homes and oh my friend says its far hes in NY and when he comes down here he brings his 7 RES he makes many stops on the way to make sure they are ok but it kind of scares me but i agree you can just put feeder fish in w/them and they should be good for a while i also have 3 RES but they are smaller than yours. _________________
glitter-graphics.com |
