|
|
Hello All,
I have 2 turtles who's legs got bitten by another turtle. The two turtles, foot are raw and showing pink/red.
I dry docked them last night put antibiotic cream on their foot, left a heat lamp on all last night just in case they got cold. What else could I do to heal their foot?
I've separated the turtles from the bitter.
thanks... |

i think that is all you can do. just keep up the disinfecting of the wound and monitor it and it should get better. you should also watch for mobility issues (if the leg moves properly, if they are favoring the hurt leg) and take it to the vet if the leg doesnt start to get better in a week or so _________________ I love my turtles! |

BETTER YET bring you turtle to the vet.... because if it gets worse you might not have a turtle. _________________ Aug 29 2006

Update: their feet are getting better. The anti-biotic cream is working. I have been dry docking, but I put them in the water for a couple of hours during the day and repeat the same process. Its healing |
