| Your turtle needs a UVB bulb. It helps them absorb nutrients. From what I've read UVA is good too b/c it helps improve their mood. What I did was give them a basking light with a UVA and then an additional light with a UVB. They sell both at petsmart. |

| Same. I have a UVA basking spot lamb, and a long-bulb UVB light. |

you need both uva and uvb, just to clarify, and petsmart has a website that you can order things from. they actually have quite a good online selection. but, im surprised that you didnt find uvb bulbs there. even a combo uva/uvb bulb would work, you dont necessarily need both. its actually cheeper to go the combo route, only having to replace one bulb. but, again, you really didnt find one? odd. _________________ I love my turtles! |
