i went out and bought river rocks from home depot, they have a nice variation of colours and shapes. you can also hunt around for nice coloured rocks and stuff too. they add nice texture and dont take up much room either. you actually need some substrate if you want plastic plants anyway, and gravel is a big no no. as for plastic plants, they come in all kinds of funky colours and normal colours, and all kinds of shapes. they also provide a nice place for turts to hold on to to breath or sleep. i posted a pic of my tank, it has some nice plants in it, (http://www.allturtles.com/msgboard/viewtopic.php?t=8397)
you might get some ideas from there. i would also look at other tank pics for other ideas that you might like. just some thoughts, hope it helps _________________ I love my turtles!  |
