| Help! My friend brought me back a tiny turtle from Chinatown in NYC. He is about the size of a quarter. He is green with some yellow. His belly is mainly yellow. He has a orangish red stripe behind where each ear would be I guess. I need to know what he is so I can take care of him..help! |

The red-eared slider is an extremely common pet turtle. It\'s easy to take of. The water turtle care sheet on this site is a great guide for red-eareds. _________________ My babies:

Read up on what you\'ve got to be sure it\'s something you are ready for.
That wee little fellow will be the size of a pancake in a few years, and could eventually reach the dinner-plate neighborhood. |
