| Can anyone help me on basic tips about baby red eared sliders. Health? Setting the tank? Tank temperature? Food? How much water (inches?) etc.. |

| Start with a larger tank if possible. Fill it about half way to just under half. Temps should be around 80 to 90 in basking area only. Feed him pellets, just a few twice daily and then gradually feed him more once a day. |

An Old Woman who sells baby turtle said "you shouldnt put much water on the turtle tank." Can the turtles live in the water around 60 degrees for couple days? |

| They might end up sick with a resperatory infection with the water being that cold. When you get them up the water temp to 85 and see how they do. If they start showing any signs of illness......lathergic, sneezing swimming lopsided take them in for a check up. |

Change part of the water every week and everytime you do that, add a couple inches more. Eventually you want the water to be as deep as possible while still providing a basking area that they can't escape from. RES love water.
60 is too cold for them. They may get sick. They'll probably be very lethargic for awhile. Warm them up as soon as you can. Try 80-82 degrees until they become active again, then lower it to 78. |
