I have a Yellow Bellied slider and a Red Eared Slider. If these two turtles mate will the babies be deformed or will they not mate at all?Is it possible to have turtle muts?I\'m 13 years old and have been involved in turtles for about a year and a half.I love to learn about these wonderful animals.
jokertu7,thanks! |

I\'m pretty sure that you can breed them together. There should not be any abnormalities, since they are in the same turtle family. Look at the latin names, and if they are close to one another, it should be okay. _________________ Zeus & Zellah are my turtles!! |

All sliders can breed. Similar species can breed with different results. It\'s called hybrids. Some will be sterile and some will be a new species. I believe Cooters and Sliders can breed as well.
Cheers,
