Care isn't too hard, I cheated and visited a breeders house and learned how they clean and feed...made it easy! LOL
I am still missing a couple of pics but I got busy! LOL
The cages are all over....9 are outside in a pond all the time, unless it goes below 30 then they come in. The ones outside are Jackie, Crunch,Squirt,Beamer,Camo,Storm,Kameko, Ryoshi, and Chloe.
Inside I have a:
40 breeder with Onyx, the common musk
20 long with Chip, the Malayan box
30 breeder with Slytha and Gemini the baby res
60 gallon rubbermaid with Timmy, the map
60 gallon rubbermaid with Bentley, the res
15 gallon rubbermaid with Tinker, striped mud
55 gallon with Spazz, res; Tc,painted; and Atlantis res
15 gallon rubbermaid with Posiden the baby musk
Those are the water tanks and only get the big stuff scooped out once a week and filter pads rinsed...takes about 30 minutes a week.
converted two story gunniea pig cage for Jin and Midori the Japanese
30 gallon rubbermaid with Ashur and Adriana the black woods
Those two have at litter pans of water for them and those get dumped twice a week and filled, takes about 10 minutes for both. Then once a week the cage gets dumped and filled again and that takes about 30 minutes for both.
custom wood cage with Honu and Kobi, three toe boxies
They eat out of the cage and poo also, so this gets dumped once a month and filled, about 15 minutes.
55 gallon rubbermaid for Vlad the russian and Toy the small sulcata at night.
2 60 gallons rubbermaids for Thor and Nala the large sulcata's at night
These get dumped when they poo in them and that only takes 5 minutes a bin to dump them and fill.
I keep a garbage can of dried flori-mulch, it's eco friendly and works well. A small bag of eco earth for the woods, Japanese and boxies. It's just dumping the cages into the flower beds, running a hose on them and then filling.
Feeding is done in the morning, I go around turning lights on and pulling the bowls out, start the boxies eating, and then wash the bowls and fill them. Put them back. It goes fast as all greens are done at the same time, fruit, veggies and meats are done once a week. The bowls are all plastic, cat food ones with two sections so the water is filled daily with clean. After the bowls are put back, I carry the container of pellets {two of those- Mazuri for most but three are eating reptomin still} a container of greens and go tank to tank of water and put greens and pellets in them. All told feeding takes about 1/2 hour from collecting the bowls to cleaned up and done. Then I check my mail while waiting for the boxies to get done eating and soaking so I can put them back. _________________ 3 sulcata,11 red ears,1 yellow belly,1 melanistic slider,1 map,1 western painted,2 3 toe boxies,1 striped mud,2 japanese pond,2 common musk,1 russian,1 ornate wood,1 FL Cooter,7 annam pond,2 back wood,1 Malayan box,1 Red belly |

Thanks, there are a few not there yet, and I just got a female cooter to go with the male and maybe make me some babies! LOL After the sulcata's breeding I think I can handle a few cooter eggs!
