I was given two small turtles, below are the best pics I've gotten so far. Looking closer I noticed that the colored area extending from the eye towards the shell is actually orange, not yellow as it shows in the photo.

the first one is 100% a RES (red-eared slider) but the 2nd one doesn't have the "red ears" so well it might be one as well and by time the markings will start showing. did u collect enough info about them?

Thanks for the replies!
I believe they're both the same, they're still a bit shy and I have a hard time getting good photos of them.
I've done a lot of reading since they were given to me and I'm very glad to have found this site  |

| yea the one with more yellow ears is still a RES. the ears will turn more red as it grows. |
