Hello everyone, I got a 55 gal tank for george and toot. They were in a 10 gal. Boy, are they happy. It is a few inches from half full. Will a fluval 3 be enough for the filter to keep it clean. did't really know just asking.
thanks for help. Toot and George (they are about 3 1/2 ins long) |

i dont know the capacity for a fluval 3 (in gallons that is) but a rule of thumb is to double the amount of water in the tank (so if you have 10 gallons you buy a 20 gallon filter) because most filters are made for fish and wont handle the waste from turtles. hope that helps. _________________ I love my turtles! |

Thanks for the info. I think the box for the fluval 3 says for up to 34 gal on it. I think I have about 15 gal in tank for now. So maybe it will do for now. thanks again George and Toot George & Toot are my first ever turtles and I think they are great, fun, and make good pets. |
