| I have two baby RES. They are about 2 and half inches (my babies are tiny, but growing pretty fast). I've been seen them doing the mating dance for a couple of weeks. At first, one of them was doing it more often than the other, but eventually both would do it. Today I watched them doing it together for a while. Somewhere I read that if they do the mating dance that means that they are males. Is that true? Does that mean that my two RES are male? |

the mating dance is a non-gender thing. its just flirting basically, and we all know that both men and women flirt, so i guess that proves a point. but it can also be an agressive thing. one being dominant over the other. its not s big deal, and no way are they old enough to mate yet anyway, but it is entirely posible that they are both girls. my two guys are undetermined as of yet, due to their size, but my vet thinks that they are both girls, and they do the 'mating dance' all the time. hope that answers your questions! _________________ I love my turtles! |
