I have just found out that tuna can be fed to Tanjobi.Does this mean the canned stuff? I buy the canned stuff for my rats, but if my turt can have it too, that would be interesting!

oh yes they would kill for tuna Laughing but be careful cz it's addictive. they should be fed tuna and meats as treats only (not more than once a week). i do feed mine canned tuna but not the ones in oil.

I bought some sardines in water yesterday,as I give them to the rats on occassion. My cousin who also has a couple of RES turts, said she feeds sardines to hers sometimes, but rinses them off beforehand.

I cannot wait to give some to Tanjobi! He will be sooo happy and love it!He is not picky, so I am happy bout that!

Feed them in a seperate container so it does not foul your w ater. Yes you can used the packed in oil. The extra oil should be drained off first but the oils, in small amounts, are benificial to their overall wellbeing. [/list]

So bog standard Tuna in brine would be OK then? After draining away all the brine obviously, ke ke ke...

It is fine to feed my two Eastern Softshells Tuna, isn't it? Surprised

EDIT: Well, after a pre-breakfast run to my local shop I managed to pick up a tin of tuna. I gave some to my two and they wern't too bothered at first and I was planning on giving up and making a sandwich [when in Rome...]. However, they soon took to it and I don't think they could get enough.

Now I'm worried that I've fed my turtles the fishy equivelent of Crack Rolling Eyes They certainly were perky afterwards mind...
