I have 2 turtles, the one i got first has this white stuff on his legs, i thought maybe he was shedding but now i am not sure what it is. The turtle i got last is just laying, i have never seen him eat or open his eyes, he just lays on the dock, underneath the heat. And the turtle i got last was alot smaller than my first one when i got him. Does anyone know what is going on with my turtles? Do i need to take them to a vet?

How long have you had the turtles? Can you post a picture of the one that maybe shedding? What are the temps of your tank? Wouldnt hurt to take them to get looked at just for a base line. So if they were actually sick they could tell by weight and all. On the smaller turtle are you saying the eyes are swollen? Thats a vit deficency. Someone else posted and said they have been using the dr turtle, white turtle shaped blocks, and their turtle is doing better. Still need to either see pics or see a vet.

My turtles shed also, they kind of alternate sometimes, I don't think it's any thing serious, I had him at the vet , for something else and he said ,it was fine, so I think it's just something they do. Very Happy
