Can you help me identify this turtle. We recently had 12" of rain (Houston area) and this guy (or girl) appeared in my driveway. The next street over my husband spotted "a huge turtle -- maybe a few feet around". I'm assuming this was the mother. When I went to look for the large one, it was gone, but I found another "baby" about 7" long. This one in this picture is about 9" long.
Thanks in advance!

| I know nothing about turtles, so thank you. There was a creek that overflowed when we had all the rain... it's not in walking distance. It's been in the 60s the last few days, but mostly still in the 80's. So... any idea what this is? |

| Thank you. I was on my way out with my 2 kids when I spotted it and when I returned it was gone. What should I do if it returns? |

oh ok, it's probably looking for its home. if u see any of them again just take them back. that's the biggest favor u could do to them the temps are good for adults and they should be fine out there hopefully _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
