Hello!! This site is so cool. I was online looking for some bulk turtle food and found this. BTW if you're looking for bulk turtle food I totally found a place that sells the good stuff for super cheap! The Reptomin floating food that usually costs $12-$15 for 1 Liter at the stores is only $24 for 4 liters on this site. Let me know if anyones interested and I'll pass the info along. ANYWAY back to introducing myself. I've been an avid turtle lover/lady/care taker/you name it....for almost 20 years now. My first turtle, Sammy, came into my life when I was in grade school back in 1987. He was the size of a quarter. My dad bought a book and set the tank up and years passed. When I graduated and moved out...so did Sammy. Then I eventually got him a friend, Pauly Girl about eight years ago. I only had the two in a 55 gallon for years. Then about four years ago a friend had two turtles that needed a home. Then another friend knew a friend who didn't want theirs anymore and so the story ends with me having eight wonderful babies. All ranging from age one to nineteen years old. I now have an above ground pond. I will never take from the wild...although I did once and that was Sammy, but that was nineteen years ago and what can I do about that now...he's tame! ha. Besides...if it wasn't for him who knows what other animal I'd like...a cat? dog? porcupine?
So thats my story and I'm known to everyone as the turtle lady...its actually my nick name at work and in my neighborhood. So I only thought appropriate to use it on this site. I'm very knowledgeable and have had tons of experiences and seen so much different behavior that I'm excited to share it with people that actually care! Seems I'm always talking to people about my turtles and they're bored!!
Well...thanks everyone for taking the time to read a snip about me. I'm excited to get to know everyone and chat about my passion...my turtles.
