I am not sure exactly. All I know is they are trying to make it illegal to own pit bulls.

oh my god! Can they do that over in the US?
I emailed that link to many of my friends and family, all of which are massive doggie fans, so the video is now doing the rounds in England too.
I think it safe to say from responses my family and I have had, England totally disagrees with whoever is trying to rid us of the Pit Bulls!
England says NNNNNOOOO!!!!!

sb861 is a law that was signed in 2005 and was enacted in the beginning of 2006 in ca. basically saying that pitbulls are dangerous, even they say its not because of that. and it is pretty much illegal to own a pitbull, and many other breeds. its a breed specific law. also, they are aiming to get rid of other breeds including COLLIES!!! i mean come. wtf. collies. but yeah thats a very simple summary of a very complex law.

That's absolutely disgusting!
They'll ban anything nowadays, it seems. Soon, we won't be allowed any breed of dogs at all.
I also have a fear that once that law comes into effect on your side of the pond, it'll soon become that way over here.
I currently live in Northern Ireland (my husband's in the army, he moves, I move - we move an awful lot!), Pit Bulls, among 3 other breeds of dog, aren't allowed here already, but I tthat's because people breed them to become fighting dogs, for gambling purposes.
People are so naughty over here!

They do that here too. Makes me sick that people can ruin such an awesome breed.

i don't know how anyone could bear to watch that. i mean two animals who obviously love you so much to learn and obey you because they actually listen to you, fight and hurt each other. its sad that the dog is so innocent and really will do what its told, and when they get in the hands of the wrong people, they listen to them too. its disgusting. these people i wish they would all just vanish or die. they should be put through what these poor dogs are put through. and its unfair to the dogs because most of the time, when animals cops catch people like this with their dogs, the dogs can never be adopted, and poof, another dog to be euthanized. its really unfair. they dont do anything wrong, they are taught the wrong thing and what else would a dog do but listen to his owner who he/she loves. ok so i guess ill stop my rant now, but this a pretty touchy subject with me.anyone i totally agree with the saying "punish the deed, not the breed!"!!!!!

i like that, punish the deed, not the breed. its soo true. and it makes soo much more sense. we have those laws too, its for pitbulls, and i think they were trying for rotweillers too... but ya, i think its dumb, ive known pple with those dogs and they can be the sweetest things. sure, they can be easily trained to be visious, but if you want a sweet dog, you can get a sweet dog.
