I noticed that my male RES (3 yrs) has been going onto his basking dock & is frequently trying to bite it. This is a new behavior for him & I was wondering if anyone has seen this behavior & why he would do this.
He certainly eats well. I have to ignore all his begging everytime I enter the room. Any suggestions? |

I dont think this is anything to worry about because my turtle did it when i first got a floating dock. Some turtles are teritorial. Anything that enters my turtles water get attacked (including my fingers some time) _________________ )@$0/\/ |

my turtle did that for like a month... She wasn't biting it at first and then all of a sudden she started. I don't know why she did it to begin with, but now for the most part she has stopped (I don't know why she has stopped either )
Anyway, it didn't hurt her any... although I don't think she actually swallowed any, or at least not very much. _________________ I love my turtle....
