hey hey, I was just curious about your people's experiences with online fraud / bad purchases... if any of you have actually been put in that situation -- I have... I've bought a salvaged $15,000 car on ebay, only to find out it was totalled while being transported. Looking forward to your feedback!! _________________ In Island Limousine Long Services |

I was ripped off last year for $50 from a person who had a male 3 toed box turtle listed at a different classifieds turtle forum. I sent her the money and she said she sent it but it never arrived. She then would not Email me back or respond to letters I sent her. I was conned!
If you try to buy a turtle off the Internet beware of buying one with a money order or sending it to a PO Box address. I think buying from a person with a PayPal account is safer. Try to get refereneces first and feedback from fellow turtle keeprs who have purchased from them. There are some reputable breeders out there and it would be best to buy from them.
I have bought a number of turtles & tortoises off the Net and most are good experiences with the exception of this one time. _________________ Patrick
