but I don't know much about them, how do they compare to keeping water turtles? I am thinking of getting either a Hermann or a Horsfield

the only problem their not as exciting being on land their a bit slower i like watching them walk and feed them by hand and its easier to check their mouths for their vitals

Hermans don't get very big at all. The big thing with tortoises is the temps and diet requirements for them. _________________

I think it will either be a Marginated or Hermans now. I think the bigger Marginated will be better for roaming the garden, but the smaller Hermans will be easier to bring inside! I live as far South as you can in the UK so the weather's usually pretty good, just shorter summer, cooler Spring and Autumn than their natural habitat. I just want to make sure I can look after one properly before I commit as they live for such a long time!
