| First what type of turtle is it, how big, and turtles always seem to want to climb out of what they are in. You should really have the turle in a tank 20 gal to start depending on size. If you can post pics this would be very helpful in giving any advise. |

welcome to the board what size is it? if it's a big turtle it's better for both of u to release it back in the nearest pond or water body where u found it. if it's still a baby, u can keep it for a while to make sure it's ok.
to post pix:
1- u have to upload them to an online album like www.photobucket.com
2- once the pix are there, right click on one and go to properties
3- copy the URL address as it is and paste it here in this way:
[ i m g ] the URL goes here [ / i m g ]
but WITHOUT spaces, i have to do it that way so it shows
4- submit and the pix are there
good luck, can't wait to see the pix _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

oh he is so tiny
hmm this setup isn't appropriate for turtles. they sell them for that purpose yes but unfortunately they are called "death bowls" cz they're not good enough to hold a turtle and everything it needs. u can get a rubbermaid for him. read the care sheets above u'll find all the info u need to take care of the little guy. btw, is there any pond near u?
for the species, it looks like a YBS (yellow-bellied slider) to me. are there any markings on its tummy or is it plain yellow? _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

the pix aren't very clear but yes it needs a bigger and deeper place. get him one of those rubbermaids and give him smelly food like tuna, chicken, or turkey (cooked of course).
oh and u can't tell the gender yet cz it's too small _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

the pellets are good yes but i suggested meats cz he's still new and probably won't eat anything. anyways yes just put them in or keep them on the dry land so the water doesn't get messy.
special care, yes they do need special care that's why i asked u to read the care sheets above cz u'll find everything u need there _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
