welcome to the board Smile they're still too young to hibernate. all they need is a heater. get them an outdoor one and maybe u can build something around their pond to make it warmer.

Between 75 and 80 will be nice for them. Make sure there is some sort of cirulation in the pond or it will freeze up regardless of the size of the heater if the temps drop below 25.

Good luck.

oh no they can "get babies" if they don't hibernate too but hibernation somewhat restores their energy and results in healthier turtles-->healthier babies

that's one of the main advantages of hibernating indoor turtles (if not the only one Surprised ) Smile

no cz even in winter, temps don't reach that low in here. and locking them up in the freezer isn't appealing to me at all Rolling Eyes plus, they're still young for mating Smile

yeah ur guy doesn't need hibernation to be happy and even if u get him a "wife" one day, he doesn't need much effort in getting the babies Wink

I probably won't breed my guy 1 red eared slider is hard enough to take care of, he like my other kid...lol very spoiled too...hehehe Laughing

I really want to eventually make a pond in my yard for him to live in cause i think he'll probably like that better but i'll have to look into that before i even think of it cause i don't know much about it....

I really want to get a red foot tortous, they are the cutest things i have seen, was at the pet store the other day and the girl took one right out and it let me touch its head and everything it wasn't freakin or nothing it was really cool....

But that alost maybe a few years down the road...lol
