arethey actually any good for larger turtles, I've read some bad reviews about them but have noticed a few on peoples pics on here?

sometimes turtles over-grow them and also might start eating them that's why setups with larger turtles don't have them. i use blocks for my turtles and have no experience with floating ones

thanks, I guess I'll give them a miss then! My Cooters had cork bark until now but is getting a bit too heavy for it (it flips over and sinks a bit Surprised

), I think I'll get someone to build me a basking box on top of the tank with some kind of ramp going in, will give them a bit more swimming room then too Very Happy

edit: after thought, how far from the top of the tank should the water be to prevent escape, thinking of having a partially open top and don't want any accidents!
