Does anyone reccomend a good filter. I have bought two so far and they are horrible. They only keep my RES's tank clean for about a day [ the second one actually doesnt clean it at all!! ] and then I have to take them out and clean them because they are so clogged and his water is so murkey.
Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

I use Fluval filter (purchased from Petsmart) as it can be used horizontily with suction cups that come with it. There are different ones according to the size of your tank. You need to rinse out sponge filter weekly but my water has been clear. I usually do not feed my RES in tank but take him out & feed him in a rubbermaid. I also do water changes as instructed.
Hope this helps. |

Fluval is the best choice. I had some success with an undergravel filter for a little while. Right now, I use a Millenium 2000 Wet-Dry filter. It will work wonders when I get Koi. _________________ The force is strong with my RES, Charleston. Koi is my next step. |
