Sunny it would help if you opened a window in a word document and then ran a spell check before copying and pasting your message here. That way we could all read and really understand what you are asking.

I think, based on what I could gather from your post, that you have a back filter. One that hangs on the top of the tank. If this is correct then that is the first thing you need to change. Those filters are great for fish but they won't work for your turtles. They are not big enough to keep the tanks clean. Some people get a longer down tube and use these filters as a waterfall.
Your tank is way to small anyway so I would recommend looking into a rubbermaid tub for a turtle habitat. They are inexpensive and can be replaced easily as your turtle grows.
Basking areas can be made from many types of things. Go to the top of this page and find the word search. Click on that and type basking area and you will find all types of threads that have been started on this subject. Some even have pictures that are pretty neat.

sorry about the spelling gramer.i write to fast or i can not spell it so...i been researching.but is it true that a 10 gall. tanks is small for one?
i was talking abput the 10 gall. tank with the filter and this tube thingy that go down where the water go through that to short and i had to rasie the water level higher now the basking large rocks looks like it siking but i do and an basking for turtle but it for an 20 gall. tank but it doesn tfit cuz their is not room.so i been trying well my brother tried to fix the large rocks basking higher to look like it sraight but then i got scared of the rock might fall on the turtle (even though i still dont got one yet) but now is it true that a 10 gal. tank to small for an hatchling(even though hatchling are tiny but still need room to swim and a lot thing need to be proper to as well and i understand that.) and i got this from this austin turtle website.and it said "a ten gal. tank will make the turtle uncomfortable and eventully sick" is that true well i believe what it siad so i was thinking that i should get an larger gall. tank then a 10 gal. tans instead now.(this is goign to be tuff now but eventully i will know what to do and it a good thing to get an turtle later and their for me to make thing proper)

Yes a 10 gallon tank is to small. The rule of thumb is 10 gal for each inch of shell length. A full grown female should have a 100 gallon tank to herself. A hatchling grows quickly that is why I suggested a rubbermaid tub. You can pick one up for around $20.

Maybe you should get just one turtle and put it in a 20 gallon tank. Otherwise you should try to get something bigger.
