im wondering what kind of fish that i can put in my tank, as long as there pretty cheap and they can be a good food for my turt and what kind i can put in that will eat algea and stuff, i have some ghost shrimp in there right now but my baby turtle can chatch them unless i wound them or put pliers on em, and id rather not put snails because i heard that they will kill my plant which is a acorus (sp mabe)

Anything you put in your turtle tank will eventually be eaten by your turtle. Natural instinct! I bought an algea eater for the algea and within like 3 months they killed him. You could buy feeder fish, they eat whatever the turtles dont eat, plus your turtle will get lots of exercise chasing the fish around.

ya i got some feeder gupies in a seperate tank (so they can mate) and it seems that he likes the feeder fish over the shrimp, but when i put a couple in the turtle tank they seem to make the water really cloudy and the turtle pays no attention to the fish or the shrimp in that matter
