Hello everyone...I haven't posted for a really long time since I've been away at school and my two RES are living at home with the 'rents...

Anyhow, I've been spending time with my male and female RES and they are both doing fairly well and have grown to about 5ish inches. I definately have a male and a female. The gender characteristics are easily seen now.

My concern is that the male keeps doing mating dance and then unsuccessfully tries to mate with the female. Then every once and a while the male gets a little nippy and bites at the female.

They have lived together all of their lives without any overt signs of aggression until now. There haven't been any serious injuries or anything, but I'm concerned that there might be.

Could it be that the female isn't sexually mature yet and has to catch up?
