I'm thinking about making a pond in my yard for my 3 RES. All three of them are about 5-6 inches and they enjoy eating lots of feeder fish. I really want some koi in the future pond as well, but I'm afraid that my turtles will eat the koi. I've heard that turtles and koi get along great, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if RES eat koi?

The turtles will only attack the koi if they are small enough. Iv'e heard that RES's will not attack a fish that they know they cann't overpower but i'm no expert.

With fish and turtles, there is always a chance that the turtle may attack and eat the fish. Some people have been able to keep them together with no problems while others can't.
