an gold fish because koi can become very huge and if you secies to put an koi in an aquarium tank then they start to break your filter or heaters and make a mess in your tank but then i pic an koi because puting an pond in your yard is pretty and make an nice entertainant!

Koi can grow really big and live up to 80-100 yrs, while goldfish do not grow nearly as big, altho they can grow large and they live 10-20 yrs.Goldfish are messy tho and need good filtration in the tanks! Fish bowls are a no-no...

and plus fancy gold fish grow about 10" only!
