Here are a few pictures of my baby Painted Turtle, Edward. I have more that I took Saturday, but haven't yet downloaded them onto my computer. Once I do that, I will be sure to share them.

Thanks.

I have had many comments on his bright, healthy shell. I am very glad that he is in such good health.

It's going to break my heart to give him up for rehabilitation, but it's the best thing to do. I'm sure he would be much happier wild and free.

Nice pics. Nice turtle. I want to go buy a painted turtle now...Hehehee.....

I had one when I first got my turtles, but he passed away and I don't think I ever recovered Sad

I can't buy another one, I'm going to have to upgrade the tank soon Sad

i was planning to get a painted turtle as soon as i find one here but after i rescued my newest turtle the plans were postponed. i'm still glad i have him Very Happy

I just try to take the best care of him that I can. I keep his water clean, keep him well fed, keep him nice and warm, and give him lots of space to get expercise. Smile

They can be quite dificult to care for sometimes. It's a lot of work.

Don't you put anything on his shell that keeps it shiny? How come other turts carapace aren't that shiny?

No, I don't put anything on his shell. It's most likely just the species of turtle. Paint Turtles have very smooth shells.
