I am so excited to join and tallk about my wonderful greek tortoise I just adopted from someone I worked with. His name is Oscar and I have been told that he is about 20 years old. The person gave him to me because her dog attacked him and he had to have his shell plastered over and get a blood transfusion. All of this was way too stressful for him so now he lives in my nice quiet house away from her kids and scary dog!

Awww, that's so sweet that she was able to give up her tortoise for the best, and that you took him in. It's also wonderful that he was able to go through surgery. Most people would have just put him down, thinking he's just a reptile and not worth the money. It makes me very happy to meet people who know that they are more than just reptiles, they are living things and deserve a second chance. Smile
