Ok...I'm suffering from spoiling my new baby RES. She is still kinda shy but loves to eat, so i find myself feeding her more than i probably should. Also, I can't get her to even try the veggies. Right now she is eating ReptoMin baby floating sticks and Zoo Med turtle treat and crickets. I was wondering if someone had a good set schedule and what it involves as far as food and veggies. I saw one a long time ago and can't find it now. |

| Your baby turtle is to young to eat veggies. After a year then you can start feeding veggies. I know a good web site that you can go to it is www.peteducation.com. They have alot of good information there. The people that put up that web site are two vets. O k I hope this will help you. |

Actually you want to start your turtle on veggies at a young age, but pellets should be their main diet.
Feed pellets everyday, as many as would fit in her head if it was hollow. I kinda put my fingers around my turtle's head and then got a pinch of pellets that seemed the same size. Count the number of pellets and then just feed that many a day. For veggies, they can eat pretty much all they want, but she may not be interested in them much now. |
