[b]Hello everyone. My names Jenna. I've just joined today.Im 14 and so excited! Today I was supposed to get my two baby red ear sliders but that didnt work out. So of course I'll be getting them soon, like this weekend or something. I orginally just started looking at google to find out some facts about red ear sliders,I found this site and was eager to find out and try this message board. It seems fun, and everyone has the same thing in mind. Turtles. Smile

Definetly a lot of information here. Hope you get your turtles soon! I love my turtles. I have 2 RES. One I found back in july, he is about 1 1/2 in or so. His nails are getting longer and his tails is long so I am pretty sure he is a he. And my other one is about 1/2 inch smaller. Both cute as buttone, fun to watch ecspecially the smaller one eating crickets Laughing

another thing u'll find common here, most of us have 2 turtles and at least one of them is a slider Cool

well, except for some experts and breeders in here..

Today at school I noticed one of the teachers had a red ear slider..! So pretty! lol. Razz

Idk whats with it.. but RES are the main type of pet turtles Im seeing. Today I was telling a friend about where and what kind of turtles Im getting. Ha..He's getting two RES sliders.well because I LOVE music so much too.. Im naming them. Marilyn and Manson.. haha My friend came up with it. I thought it was cute,and pretty kool names. tell me what ya think please...? Smile

Hey Jenna....cool screen name "EscapingReality". Again welcome to the boards! As for the names of your turtles........hmmmmm.....I did the same thing kinda...my sulcatas names are Johnny and June after the late country music singer and his wife. So kinda on the same lines except for the type of music. Anyway.....good luck on the turtle buying!

thanks AGAIN! lol I love it here. SOOOO many nice people all intrested in the same thing as me. oh and thanks for the comment John about my name "Escaping reality" Idk I came up with it a while a go. and kept it there for my myspace and stuff. everyone knows that you have to "Escape reality" sometimes and just have time to yourself. ok well GOSH! I CANT WAIT! Smile

till this saturday for my turtles. there going to be so small there like the size of a half dollar. ok well Im off..Thanks again for posting...!!!! Smile

ok apparently I didnt get my turtles!!!!! Crying or Very sad

turns out,seller sold them smaller then 4 inches...and is no longer aloud to sell them etc.. so ya.. now my parents are having to order my turtles off the net!!! just not the same..well hey as long as I get to have my precious turtles as pets right...?thats all that matters. Laughing

now lets just hope I cant get them SOON..! So angious!*

have your parents already purchased them online? If so where did they buy them from? Just wondering because there are a couple good "turtle" sales sites out there and some that I have heard bad about too.
