Im going to get 2-3 red ears and put them in a 40-55 gallon tank.
Why i am posting this is because i heard that you need a 100 gallon at least to house one slider. Is this True?
I plan to take my sliders out and play with them and other things. |

| I had a red ear turtle that was as big as a hand... so about 5 inches in diameter and about 6 or 7 inches long... the turtle was about 10 years old I believe. |

Well, my little ones right now are in a 55 gallon tank. They are fine. I would think that it would just depend on how big the turtles are for right now. As they grow expand. Or if your budget allows, go right ahead and get that whopper of a aquarium! LOL _________________ Brandy |

| You only need about a 35-55 gallon tank for 1-2 sliders. |

Hi to all the turtle lovers out there.
I just got a new red ear slider and it is so adorable.I am new to all this but I am worried about the turtle his name is Wilburt and I notice he likes to stay hidden in one of the corners of the tank under the greenery .Is this normal and how long do they stay underwater for? I am concerned about him. _________________ sue |

He is fine. He's just adjusting to his new home. Keep an eye on him and make sure he is eating. Keep us informed! _________________ Brandy |
