| I have two suggestions. The first one is to remove the gravel substrate you have there. By the looks of it, it seems that Petri can eat it and that won't be good. The second suggestion is that it seems like Petri is pyramiding. I would recommend you to stop overfeeding Petri. Try varying the diet by offering more vegetables and less protein in his diet. |

Is not the right spot for this question , but my Chunky seems to have an issue that is concerning. On the pic of Petris back... I use this one cuz my turtle is bout the same size, right above the tail on my turtles shell, it seems to be spliting apart a little. And I notice yours is not like that so my question is, Is this cuz he is growing or is there something wrong?  |

Although the pictures are quite small and unclear, there doesn't seem to be any problem with it. Are there white spots growing around it? Turtles have similar shell shapes but they aren't identical. From my guess, it seems to be okay. But just to be sure, wait for others to respond to your concern and try enlarging and sharpening the pictures if possible. |

as i said in ur other post, it does seem like normal shedding of scutes.
btw ur little guy is so sweet but it looks like his eyes are a bit swollen and he's slightly under-weight. do u have the UV bulbs and is he eating well? _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

| I just went and bought a uva/uvb bulb and thats the one he has been basking under alot more than the other bulb. and eating- OMG he is a lil piggy. i feed them everyday to every other day |
