hey everyone.
i have 2 res turtles. they are about.... 3 month old.
1 of them eats VERY well. it'll look at it then bite and get it. the other take a while.. its like its aiming is off. well anyways. the one that eats well is getting bigger. and the other one is still getting a bit bigger.. but not as fast. iw as thinking of feeding it seperate. so the bigger ones doesnt steal all the food. but anyways.
question one.
the smaller one'sshell is growing upwards.. like a triangle. where as the other one that eats well is growing all nicely and poportionally. how come its growing like a piramid? normal?
question 2
what is it when the turtles skin has a kinda white ... .film? coming offF? i dont know what it is exaclty. it looks kinda sticky.. but i never touched it to make sure. is that bad? or like is it a desiease? if so what can i do to fix it? more water changes? i do about 25% every week and a half or so.
well thanks for your guys's time! |

welcome to the board
for ur first question, pyramiding is not good at all so be careful and feed it less protein. go for veggies and green leaves for that little one
the 2nd Q..ur turtles are shedding and this means they are growing bigger just make sure the water isn't too hot cz it causes excessive shedding. otherwise, it's normal _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

i know but i guess turtles are like us, u see someone who eats a lot and doesn't get fat while some people are average eaters and still have bellies and stuff _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
