My obsession with pets need to stop. I\'m such a sap. I saw two lonely beta fish at Walmart that looked like they were on their last legs. So what did I do, I brought them!!!!!! OH well....now i get to nurse em back to health, and hopefully, make some baby bettas!

i almost did that last night. beta\'s fight. and if they are two males, they\'ll definitely fight. if they are the really pretty ones, they are males. females aren\'t very pretty .. just plain looking.

oh and someone is giving away a free bunny and it would have been mine if i could have it where i live. darn college apartment complexes!

LOL. I am glad i am not the only sap. I have \"saved\" 9 of these Betta\'s from wal-mart also. Also a couple guppies that looked like they needed rescued (which reproduced....surprise). So now I have 5 betta\'s (I gave 4 to my daughter), about 30-40 guppies (and a pregnate one again...I seperated the male LOL), 2 barbs, 3 neon tetra\'s, 2 white clouds, 2 dogs, and 3 cats and 2 turtles. All of these were pets I rescued, except the turtles...I just bought them because I love them...It\'s a good thing I don\'t live on a farm...I\'d have to get a second full time job to be able to buy food. hehe that\'s not bad..just don\'t let ur emotions over-rule u..if i had the chance then i would have bought all the turtles that were with mine (which were about 15-20)..for me i wish i had a farm cz i love to have an outdoor pond for my turtles, a horse, a dog, some sheep, chicken, and cows, hmmm what else..yeah maybe some bunnies too

hey rach just move him to ur room in ur jacket and then put him under ur bed:p

I got a male and a female in the same tank with a divider. Maybe they\'ll have little bettas once they\'re healthy again! Smile

lol yaya good idea but i don\'t think they were rescued to be fed to turtles..ouch!

u can give them boiled/grilled chicken or turkey, fish, shrimps, yes worms work too but all as treats only,,never too much
they love tuna fish if u want to try it..also try to get them eat fruits and veggies cz they\'ll depend on them as their diet after a while

DONT PUT YOUR MALE AND FEMALE TOGETHER. YOU NEED TO WAIT UNTILL YOUR MALE MAKES A BUBBLE NEST AND THEN PUT THE FEMALE IN. AFTER THEY BREED AND SHE LAYS THE EGGS GET THE FEMALE OUT. AFTER THE BABYS HATCH ROMOVE THE MALE. IN A WILE YOU CAN TELL IF THIER MALE OR FEMALE.

awww that's so sweet of you to take those poor animals under your wing!

i know the wal-mart here sells betas.. and in such horirble conditions. they put blue food dye in the fish water and sell them in tiny cups.. it's really sad.

but the blue food dye is too much!

When you buy animals that are kept like that, you may be saving that one, but remember that they are just going to put another betta, turtle or whatever into that same place and you're giving them the money to do it. If people didn't buy them, they wouldn't sell them.

I had a batta he ate my gold fish [I was stupid then.] I named him Brian Granttail. named after a bball player. Smile
