Hello,

I recently adopted a baby slider turtle (legal size). I have only had him for about 4 months. He has been very active since I had him, and never sits still and is very fast. I wanted to know is what is the following behavior represent:
1. My turtle has recently been gulping water at the surface then letting the bubble excape from his mouth. Is this a possible respitory infection, because the bubbles are not coming from his nose.
2. My turtle is always trying to climb on the glass as if he is trying to escape. My set up is small because I have limited space. He is always moving knocking over his rock. What is with the aggitated behavior? Is he bored and trying to create some excitement?
This turtle seems very healthy and I would like to have him for very long time, I have really grown to love him very much and want to know how to keep him healthy and happy.

sounds like ur turtle is healthy and is just playing. do u talk to him and play with him?

for keeping him healthy, is he warm and getting the needed UV light??

Yes, I take him out to play but he just keeps running away, he does not like to be held. I has successfully climbed the back of his tank to escape, seems like he has no fear. He is really fun to watch though.
