Hi,
We've had our turtle for just over 1 year now and she's been doing great. I cleaned the tank, filter, etc., 2 days ago and put the chlorine drops in the water as normal. For about a day and a half she hasn't eaten and she's the type of turtle that normally eats a lot.

Additionally, she's been closing one eye at a time or swimming around with both eyes closed. Prior to this we had only ever seen her close her eyes when she slept. Does she have an eye infection? Has anyone ever seen this type of activity?

Thanks for any info anyone can give us Rolling Eyes

I've had that happen to me. I would try adding maybe a little bit more chlorine drops then normal. Also try looking in the reptile section of your local pet store, cause they have an easy to use eye drop solution that you can use. I don't use it all the time, but it does help.

i don't know what the problem could be but if u didn't find those eye drops at the pet shop, u can get normal human eye drops from any pharmacy. just make sure they are ok to be used for turtles.

good luck and keep us posted

Are her eyes swollen shut or just shut? Do they look goopy or weepy at all?
