An Iguana should be in a warm moist tropical enviroment that is similar to a rain forest where they are native. They do need the same UVB/UVA lighting, but after that the similarities end. Are you familiar with Iguana's and their care? Here is some basic info. From a place called the Green Iguana http://www.iguana.com/index.html
• Iguanas come from exotic tropical lands, and as such they require very specific housing, food, light, and other care requirements to thrive in captivity. Without these absolute requirements, they can die a slow and painful death.

• They call green iguanas "Giant Green Iguanas" because they get huge. As an example, the owner’s lizard (pictured on the book cover) at 4 years old was 5’5" (nose to tip of tail) and weighed 13 pounds. Take size into consideration when deciding on whether to get an iguana or not. They can also live to 12-15 years.

• Sexually mature male iguanas can be grumpy, rambunctious, or even mean during breeding season. Sexually mature female iguanas can lay eggs even without the presence of a male, and the females need specialized care while gravid and to lay their eggs successfully.

Now putting a little boxie in with a grumpy Iguana may work while the Iguana is very little. If the Iguana is captive bread and does not have any disease that it could give the boxie, or the boxie could give the Iguana. But you would soon have a mess, you would also have 2 very different herps with long life spans and different housing needs to consider. I hope you have a large home and a big pocket book.

If you are truly interested in an Iguana there are many who are in desperate need of homes. Many people who get those cute babies don't realize they grow to 5 or 6 feet and turn them in as they get bigger. There are many of these poor animals waiting to be adopted. Here is a linkn to a good adoption site http://members2.boardhost.com/gisadoptions/

Iguana's can also be very aggressive, I wouldn't suggest it.
